fear. Charges balls like a game a
chicken. Reflexes like a tiger. Arm
like a mini-cannon. Accuracy of a
sniper. Swings like she's cutting
down a redwood.
Best third baseman and
basewomen I've ever had had the
pleasure of having on my team.
Super competitive at board games
too... hell... any type of game period!
Friendster for over a year now and
have not written Maggie a testimonial
is a crime against good taste and I am
sure there is a special hell reserved
just for neglectful people like me.
But really there is not much I can say
about Maggie that one couldn't
ascertain within six minutes of
meeting her; intelligence, charisma,
beauty, and talent all rolled into the
same young lady. Maggie stands out
from the pack by being the sort of
person that you want to know because
it makes you feel better to have a
familiarity with such a fine person.
All things said, the most of
Maggie's considerable qualities has
always been, in my opinion, her
discipline over body and voice
whenever she took the stage. To say
that she is a first rate actress would
be like saying Bill Gates did okay for
himself, an understatement that might
land one in psychiatric care.
I first became aware of this
when I was in Highschool and she was
sophmore. She was performing a single
person adaptation of "Heart of a Dog,
a very tricky selection as it required
Maggie to play a mostly deaf young
lady while still remaining clear in
speech. Not only did Maggie
absolutely nail that role, she also
transformed her persona so completely
that one would forget that she was a
seventeen year old acting. No small
feat. I remembered thinking then that
this young lady was already in
possession of the sort of conditioning
that most people who have the moxy of
calling themselves professionals
haven't yet mastered. And almost
simultaneously I began counting the
minutes to her greatness, confident in
the fact that one day I would be able
to proudly state that I knew this
fabulous actress when she was a
fabulous kid.
It's difficult to describe in
words a young lady that is defined by
her admirable characteristics -
someone who's virtues are rule rather
than exception - so I will do what
most people do and quote wiser folk
than myself:
