      • About Me:

Dean Koontz was born and raised in Pennsylvania. He graduated from Shippensburg State College (now Shippensburg University), and his first job after graduation was with the Appalachian Poverty Program, where he was expected to counsel and tutor underprivileged children on a one-to-one basis. His first day on the job, he discovered that the previous occupier of his position had been beaten up by the very kids he had been trying to help and had landed in the hospital for several weeks. The following year was filled with challenge but also tension, and Koontz was more highly motivated than ever to build a career as a writer. He wrote nights and weekends, which he continued to do after leaving the poverty program and going to work as an English teacher in a suburban school district outside Harrisburg. After a year and a half in that position, his wife, Gerda, made him an offer he couldn't refuse: "I'll support you for five years," she said, "and if you can't make it as a writer in that time, you'll never make it." By the end of those five years, Gerda had quit her job to run the business end of her husband's writing career.

Dean Koontz lives with his wife, Gerda, and the enduring spirit of their golden retriever, Trixie, in southern California.

This was to have discovered it at 14 years old I.
The near-sightedness and hyperopia discovered the thing that looked clear when
peeping at the pinhole (tiny holes).
It looks clear only by burying round thing covered with holes under the
        cataract patient.
When it was time addition lens, glasses were necessary because it did not swell
like the crystalline lens and it shrank.
This is all solved by my discovery.

      • Hi, I have read Franskenstein and it's also a great book. It made me read the book Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens. I have always planned to read that book but after reading Frankenstein I got overwhelmingly curious how something like Erika could be moved to tears by such a book. I have just finished reading the Tale of Two Cities last night and I understand what Erika must have felt. Though I didn't cry (because I'm trying hard to repress my tears), my heart certainly did for Sydney Carton (the guy who took the place of the one to be guillotined). Frankenstein certainly makes you think of what-ifs in the field of science & technology. Funny how the monster seemed to be more humane than the human who created him; the human who seems to be the greater monster now.

      • We recently adopted a new blonde Lab, Dash Orson. I had already named him Dash and Christian gave me the idea to name him Orson after Christopher Snow's Dog...Love "Fear Nothing" and "Seize the Night"....Great Books !! Hoping to see a new one soon. Odd Hours was also a wonderful book (as usual) Really anticipating a new "Odd" book !! Thought it was cool how you slightly refered to the Christopher Snow books. I really thought that "Odd Hours" was going to bring the two story lines together...I loved the anticipation!!! Keep up the EXCELLENT work !!
        We Love You,
        Christian and Karen
