Born Anne Jacqueline Hathaway, I was the first and only teenager admitted to the acting program at the award-winning The Barrow Group in New York City. I am also a first soprano and, just three days before being cast in Get Real, had the privilege of performing in two concerts at famed Carnegie Hall as a member of the All-Eastern U.S. High School Honors Chorus. For theater, I also studied at the Paper Mill Playhouse in New Jersey and at the inaugural pre-college summer program at the Collaborative Arts Project, CAP 21, which is affiliated with New York University. Among the productions I appeared in were Gigi with Gavin MacLeod and Lillian Montevechi, Jane Eyre and Life on Earth. Also, I performed as Princess Winifred in Once Upon a Mattress, for which I was nominated for the Paper Mill's Rising Star Award for the best high school performance by an actress in New Jersey. I starred opposite Hollywood legend Julie Andrews in Disney's The Princess Diaries, and Meryl Streep in the The Devil Wears Prada.
