I was born to Jacqueline Luesby and Chris Watson at 6:00pm on April 15th 1990 in Paris. Me and my family moved back to England when I was five. Me and my brother Alexander(3yrs. younger than me) moved to Oxfordshire where we lived with our mother during school term times.
In September 1995 at the age of 5, I attended the Lynam's, the nursery school of the prestigious Dragon School in Oxford, during which time I discovered a big interest in poetry. I was rewarded for my interest in performance and poetry at the age of 7(attending at the time), when I won the Daisy Pratt poetry competition for my recital of The Sea by James Reeves.
In September 1998 at the age of 8, I moved to the main Dragon School itself where I would spend a very happy 5yrs. when I was not filming. In 1999 at the age of 9, I was given the opportunity to audition for a role in the upcoming Harry Potter movie. The rest is obviously history.
In 200, when I was 10, I began filming for the first time and was very nervous for my 1st day on set.
On its opening day, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone broke records all over the world and critical acclaim was piled on me for my performance as Hermione.
Between 200 and 2007, I have appeared in the five Harry Potter films. I was also honoured to be invited to make a speech at Oxford University's famous Oxford Union, in front of hundreds of brainy students.
Just recently I announced that I was prepared to agree with Warner Brothers for the remaining two of the 7 Harry Potter movies, I think much to the relief of my fans all over the globe after certain areas of media had hinted that I might not be coming back. I have never have any specific intentions of leaving Hermmione behind me, I just wanted to make sure that I was able to balance my school work with my acting career.
I have always enjoyed learning and certainly shares some same traits with my character Hermione as I achieved 8 A* and 2 A Grades in my GCSE Examinations in 2006.
In May 2007, I took my A/S leve; exams in Art, History of Art, English and Geography and will now drop a subject (History of Art) for my A-Levels in the new term which I will complete in 2008.
In my spare time I love being back to school with my friends, playing sport(including hockey, tennis and netball for Headington's 1st teams), painting, singing and dancing(I have competed twice with my school in the global dance competition 'Rock Challenge').
Future challenges for me in 2007 and 2008 include my A Levels and the sixth film. In 2009, I hope to attend university after a gap year and continue to juggle my acting career with academic life. I hope before long to perform on stage again, as I did all those years ago.
