About Me:
I play records in clubs, at shows and on Milwaukee's WMSE
91.7
FM, and am usually billed as some surprising new
combination
and spelling of the names "John" and "BTS.WRKNG"
(or "beats
working" if you got a thing for vowels). I'm a graphic
designer, both for
my day job and for various friends and side projects. I
have
two cats,
one of whom (cue violins) is currently dying a protracted
death
from kidney failure. When I'm not out on the town taking
in some
of
the
amazing music being produced/played/performed here in
MKE, I'm
usually at home playing more records, reading or watching
a
movie.
I
turned 33 on 3/3/03 but am not yet sure whether that's
given
me any
special powers. Having blagged my way onto friends' gear
by
collaborating on tracks with them, I'm
more than a little eager to get gear of my own and create
create
create. Other
near-term goals include getting into voice-over work,
launching a
long-planned all-7" 45 record label and winning the
lottery.

International Space Station..something
involving sperical pretzels..smart....
would make an excellent lifeguard.
John I shook my caboose and broke
something loose. All in good fun.
admit i had the biggest crush when i
first met him last summer....belated
encounter. life is harsh. the deepest
despair. so girls. grab your chance
when you can. remember, this guy is
one out of millions......
haven't known him long at all, but one doesn't
need too to be sold. he even hooked me up
with a gig before i even met him face to face.
crazy. wait... why is this man single? if i was...
oh, nevermind. i'm pro JOHN in 2003.
those mad tunez of yours!! Hope to see
you again...which I am SURE i will
since i met up with ms. thang down the
road who is still sick...poor thing.
Lets party sometime;)
saw his. man, fuck this guy.
gems. Just when you thought it was
safe to assume you had a thick
underground music knowledge base, comes
along this walking encyclopedia of dope
beats! Versitile, indeed...all around
stand-up individual I might add...makes
me proud to be back in Wisconsin.
mixes beats that are funky. John mixes
beats that'll get you hooked like a
crack-head junkie. The other day he
played the Lightning Seeds and made the
world a better place, which he tends to
do any time his decks are plugged in.
In summary, I think John is the only
other person in the world who likes The
Adventures of Pete & Pete. So for all
of these reasons and more, you should
sell the entirety of your personal
effects and give him the proceeds. I
did, and I've never looked back!
with the creamy beats, and the
buttery blend. jon is the battle-by-not-
battling sensei, djs have been laid to
waste and THEY DONT EVEN KNOW
IT YET. jon is the man that makes
me ro-tate my crates, and what he
does with his vocal chords just
talking is reason to believe barry still
lives. he is subtle, smart, sublime.
one more reason to live in the milky
way!!!! now jon, what was that joint
you rocked four songs ago, i think it
was a 10", red or blue or something,
it had like country vocoder over jay
dilla-esque beats? who the funk is
that?
