How many times has instinct let us down

For what use is there in praying
If you will only hear what you want to hear?
We speak of fighting to resist this world
But what about the battle within us?
If we have chosen to live against the grain
Then why are we all facing the same way?
There is no difference between us and them
If we all blindly seek truth from sentiments

Someone who has the courage to NEVER HAVE a self-affirming view of a person who follows his desire, his heart, and his temptation. And the only prayers or things he does are the things to re-affirm his already stood beliefs. An evil circle where you just think you are right.
But you never question or ask why you. You never think differently even though you may think you're being different. It doesn't matter if you're a goth, an emo, a Moslem, a Christian, or whatever. The greatest battle is not trying to change people's views on us. We can't do that if we can't change the way we view ourselves. And the truth is, you'll never change the way others see you if you don't believe you can make the change yourself.
And we should not be afraid of change no matter how uncomfortable it feels.
