Fast Food Nation, Lying Liars, America the Book, Harry Potters, anything by Margaret Bechard, Carl Hiaasen, David Sedaris and Malcolm Gladwell, the last book I read was something for my class because I have no time

North by Northwest (it was on TV today). Other stuff, but I can't think of it now. Charlie Kaufman is good.

I have a wide range, but basically like anything with a chord structure that makes me tingle. Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, Flaming Lips, Zero 7, DJ Shadow, Jay-Z, old-school Snoop, stuff that they play on KCRW before they've totally played it into the ground, bluegrass on WAMU on sunny Sunday mornings

Sopranos, The Wire, 24, Frontline, the Daily Show when I can catch it, College football Saturdays in October with good beer and good friends at Barney's Beanery, Family Guy (kinda stupid, though), Simpsons (although even I have to admit that they've started to slip...so sad)

I'm a pretty easy-going guy, and up for anything as long as fun people are involved. Los Angeles gets cooler and cooler the more I live here, but I still hold the ol' Pacific NW in high esteem. I'm the kind of person who may not know exactly what he wants to do when he grows up, but he knows he wants to be doing something important. My new catchphrase regarding my future: I must reconcile my desire to save the world through good work with my desire to drive a really great car.

People doing the same thing I do: looking for names remembered at random and saying "Hey, does so-and-so have any cool-looking pictures up?"
