To the casual observer, I am quiet, even-tempered, conscientious, and hard-working, with a strong sense of my values. With those I'm close to, I can be vibrant, playful, spirited, philosophical, and adventurous. I enjoy physical playfulness, such as skipping, jumping, having a pillow fight, or rolling in the autumn leaves. I also enjoy challenging verbal banter. I enjoy quiet times at home, spending time with friends and family, being outdoors, rollerblading, and folk music. I volunteer at folk concerts and festivals and host a folk radio show. I like to compile information. If I hear you idly wonder about something, I may look it up and find out for you more than you ever wanted to know about it. I have a lot to say in e-mails and web sites. In person, I'm often quiet, but every now and then with people I'm close to, I can become quite talkative.

I'm not exactly looking to meet a lot of new people, but in general, the people I end up getting close to tend to have some of the following traits: You have a playful, silly, mischievous side. You will never be too old to play in the snow or read Winnie the Pooh. You have a compassionate, respectful attitude toward others. You are not pushy and do not give a lot of advice. You trust that for the most part other people know what they are doing and are sincerely trying to do what is right. You are not necessarily an activist, but you strive to be kind and fair, and to use the earth's resources responsibly. You are brainy and enjoy exploring ideas. Perhaps you listen to public radio and/or consider yourself a geek, neurotic, or intellectual. In addition to mental pursuits, you enjoy physical activities such as hiking, rollerblading, or home renovation projects.
