About Me:
I'm an English Literature undergrad lackadaisically working on my first novel and blundering through learning Arabic. I'm very interested in Social Anarchist theory (not to mention practice) and middle-eastern politics. I'm a coffee snob. I'm contemplating having my mail forwarded to Espresso Royale.
I am vegan.
I don't get along very well with particularly religious types or social conservatives, but herbivores, free spirits, good spellers, and socially conscious types automatically get props.
Dreds, piercings and tattoos are hot. I am severely lacking in these departments.
I spend every waking moment of my life repressing my inner nerd. He wants to tell you about the underlying social and institutional metaphors of the Battlestar Galactica remake. He wants to explain to you the difference between Romulans and Vulcans. He wants a Delorian and he wants to drive it at 88mph. He wants to explain why Mac OSX is the shit and why Steve Jobs is the coolest guy on the planet.
Instead, the real me will push him back into his hole with his George Romero movies and discuss the wittier aspects of Oscar Wilde, Thai food, and the political climate in Israel. The real me will fix your bike while we watch movies with subtitles. The real me will amuse himself with contemporary minimalist fiction and the collected works of Pablo Neruda.
I find that an occasional Vonnegut novel, an episode of Voyager here and there, and the sporadic article from wired.com keep the nerd in check.
I can be trusted with my hormones except when listening to John Coltrane.

Who I Want to Meet:
I would to anyone whose heart still beats that we may live ignoring all gods, laws, rights, and wrongs. Indulge every pleasure to which our nature draws us and investigate every sin. You and I, let's live for that exquisite combination of marijuana, red wine and jazz that lets you stay up all night in conversation between the arms of friends. Let's let every action, every print in the dirt be our art, and this very clay may our confession in flesh.

that's my kind of guy.
something cool about cody is that he
[allegedly] knows how to make stellar
hummus. i'm waiting for him to impart
his hummus-making knowledge on me.
one time cody came up to me at a
halloween party. he was wearing a
mask and a cape and said "i'll give you
one guess who i am."
"cody," i said.
"damn," cody said.
haha, i got him good.
mostly, i like cody because he's vegan.
but i guess he's kinda cool-ish even
without the vegan thing.
