About Me:
I'm silly, adventurous, and curious. I've been to 26
countries in five continents, and have my sights set on
Argentina and Cuba to get a few more pins in the map. I
satiate my inner intellect with lectures, museums, good
journalism, and odd art events. I can be urban and hip when
the occasion calls for it, but I'm happy on a beach or in
the woods where I can see the stars and listen to the
birds. I am a morning person (I don't know how this
happened - I went from 25 to 80 overnight. I used to go out
and rock the party, now I stay home and bake). I like to
take things apart and put them back
together (my clothes, my house, my car). I like to hang out
with my dog. I'm a bad speller. I love smelly cheese. And
puppies. Any baby animal really.
-
Who I Want to Meet:
Goofy, adventurous, motivated, passionate, sincere,
thoughtful, happy. Definately grown-ups. More specifically:
volkswagon mechanics, chefs, bike riders, fortune-tellers,
plasterers (I got a wall that's in bad shape), dog-walkers,
adventurers, joke-tellers, sushi-eaters,
hikers, scrabble-players, and morning people.
I like people who have their shit together, know how to
prioritizre their shit, and know when to shake shit up.

if I spend enough time with her, I will start to like
vegetables (the food, silly), because they sure
have helped her to grow up healthy and incredibly
smart. Now all Chris and I have to do is complete
her training in the ways of rock and her path to
enlightenment will be that much more
illuminated...
behalf of Sheila but moreover, to how
insane this friendster is; pray forgive
what will surely be an indulgent
length. Sheila and I were inseparable
best friends at an age when it wouldn't
mean anything in particular when the 2
of us would bubble bath together. An
enterprising pair, we had our own rock
band called the Wild Cats (lip synching
to Stevie Nicks and Pat Benatar,
modeled after the Wendy and Lisa duo
from Prince & The Revolution) and
a 'law firm' (I was Jacoby, Sheila was
Myers) where a day's work consisted of
typing, earnestly filling out credit
card application forms collected from
banks, and transcribing the Jacoby &
Meyers signatures w/a distinctive
flourish on every piece of paper in
close proximity. She lived way up this
big green mountain in San Anselmo and I
lived at the bottom. We spent years
winding up and down that mountain,
climbing past endless green trees,
playing with dirt, picking berries and
making up stories. I like to think our
maniacal obsessiveness over Duran Duran
was an early indication of extreme
precociousness, since hell, we were 6
or 7 yrs. old, WAY ahead of the curve
for pre-teen crushes! She was an
amazing girl with amazing character;
life circumstances made her grow up
fast and even though we've only just
now reconnected via friendster, I feel
wholly confident in testifying that
Sheila would be an incredible person to
have in one's life and I'm thrilled
that I can now say I do again!
years now and she constantly surprises me.
Whether she's arguing philosophy or
wearing the best (and skimpiest!) outfit at a
Halloween party, she's always having fun!
I'm lucky to count her as one of my friends
and aspire to one day being half as cool as
her! All this from a girl who used to live in
Marin...
