My first conscious memory is of my parents frantically running around trying to find the toilet plunger because the toilet was plugged. They left me for a moment, saying, "We'll be right back--don't flush the toilet." I stared at the toilet for a long time, wondering, "What would happen if I flushed it? ...Hey, I can flush it." So I flushed it.
