About Me:
I am a rare desert flower that was transplanted from
California to Arizona in the early stages of development,
and after 19 years was eventually returned to my place of
origin for research at USC. I am now nomadic, which is a
euphemism for 'homeless' and am really learning to embrace
my sense of adventure. I am now married to a Scotsman (who has
an endangered species of birds nesting in his beard), as of March 26th in Paradise Valley, AZ. I play
the double bass (orchestral, bluegrass, and jazz), I can
yodel and did so in a live show with Phish one time in Las
Vegas(Dec 6, 1996), I write songs in the folk-pop-rock
veins- singing and playing acoustic guitar/rocking out on
the fretless elec. bass. I love Afro-Latin percussion and
want to become a Timbalera. I am a cat person, despite the
fact that I have had a few sweet pooches in the past. I
definitely prefer cats and will not really let anyone close
to me who is a cat-hater (Fu*k you guys). I still think the
website below is hilarious, though. So I bought a violin on our honeymoon (got it in a package deal with an old Fender Champ and the new Beck album) in Trinidad, CO. What a place! I got a picture of some Halliburton employees and their work truck, but mostly it is an old mining town in a state of decay. I love that violin, though! Unfortunately, the only thing I seem to be able to play is "Oh I Wish I Were In Dixie" and other Confederate favorites (which makes my man nervous that our neighbors will complain- not about the noise, though).

like PJ harvey sings like Eva Cassidy, a
real songbird. shes an all rounder,
talented, fun and hot. the complete
package. gret sense of fun with a little
hint of mischief about her! if ur
priveleged enough to meet this girl then
youll see what i mean. a real desert
flower indeed!
wanna..., enchanting girl is my friend
because she doesn't see me on the
outside she sees me on the inside. I
remember one time I was dressed as a
bum: I put dirt on my face, I peed all
over myself, grew out my facial hair
and took every excrement basically and
made myself an Excrement Native
American; and sat right there in the
middle of the street. All my friends
passed me every single last one. My
mom didn't even recognize. Mieke
walked up and said "Hey, Shaunte,
How's it going?" Shocked she
recognized I said "...Hey, baby, how
you doin'?" Then she said "Bad Hair
Day?" and I said "I'll go change" I
reach over to hug her...She says "No,
no I'll see you in twenty minutes" But
that's why she's cool She always sees
through to what's inside. Because
sometimes it ain't so pretty on the
outside even though she is.
adventurer, and she is not afraid to try
new things. She despises corporate
inhumanity and is a thrill (pleasure)
seeker. Modest of her intellect, she
prefers the introverted acumen of cats
to the extroverted aptitude of dogs.
This girl is so much fun! She is
youthful, sweet, cool, knows her
shiznit, plays melodic and rockin' good
music, cooks up a storm in the kitchen,
can play the string bass with her toes,
surfs, skateboards, says really
hilarious things, notices details that
most people would never catch in real
life and laughs about them. She is more
than the 'bombadeus', she is
the 'bombabedeus'! She is a female for
all seasons.
Anamieke is my best friend. I have
known her since 1989, like back in the
day when "the presence was fittin'."
Yeah, she used to listen to Metallica
and vandalize school bathrooms. She
had quite da 'tude'. We used to make
fun of people and a have really sick
sense of humor. Nowadays we still make
fun of people and have an even sicker
sense of humor on IM-transatlantic
style. I have never had so much fun in
my life as I have had with her. Who
knew that an early morning flight to
Boston could be such a theatrical
event? She can make the most mundane
exciting. We laugh a lot, which keeps
us healthy. She has some pretty funny
stories. Ask her about the Bacon
Monster, breaking down in the tree
people village, the Fry Lady, hazardous
baby booties or the Prairie Hair
Nation.
Did you know that there is a
sandwich named after Anamieke? It is
called "Anamieke's Yummerific Tuna
Melt"-made with a lil' luvin', Chali
Tuna style! Anamieke has many good
looks-sitting on the couch with a cute
kitty, roller blading into the living
room with the blue oracle, zoom-zoom-
zooming around in the Matrix,
snuggling, wearing a red-hooded
sweatshirt, or playing a ballad on the
guitar.
So, you should get to know this girl!
She is working the music biz. She is a
professional-like Leon you know? If you
make her your friend, then you have a
friend for life, cuz she's keepin' it
real, for reals yo! When you meet her,
you should bring a bag of maple nut
goodies! She just loves those tasty
treats! Yum!
