and thats how its been since day one.
She the only one who is ever around
when things get scary, she held my hand
when I dropped into a pool for the
first time, and she stayed with me
during haunted weird winter nights in
an old house in a strange South Side
neighborhood and made it feel like home
and even like we were starring in a
music video.
She's my partner in mischief and my
warrior sister. Together we tussled
with a bunch of knucklehead kids- she
just tosses them over the fence or puts
them in a headlock and then I sit on
them. Now people just toss themselves
over the fence when they see us coming.
She got instincts and knows how to be
real on an equal level with you, she is
such a tough girl but she keeps her
heart open which takes most people a
lifetime to learn. She's the best skate
buddy I could ever hope for, keeping me
trying new shit, moving forward, making
the hardest things in life look easy,
looking glamorous the whole time.
