changed. There's something she adds to
everyone's life. When I first met her I
wanted to hide because her eyes saw
right through everything and head-on
into my darkest whirl-winds; and she
accepted me for everything. Sure, I
fell in love with Yuki. I'm the
invisible girl by her side.

Separation game seriously and applied
it to our lives, I would be able to
give, after eeking out the regional
championship, a victory speech or two.
One of the people on the top of my list
of gratitude would be Yuki, who has
single-handedly brought a countless
number of wonderful people into my
life. Not bad for someone who came to
know me by answering an ad hanging up
on the street. Such random encounters
are the stuff great stories are made
of, and while I'm not sure the one
about my life will win the Pulitzer, it
will certainly receive a notable review
or two because of Yuki's part in it.
Some say that the reason for this is
the fact that so many of our recent
meetings have been in pool halls, big
city subways, and small town bars, but
I think it is more likely that Yuki
symbolizes that certain je ne sais
quois that makes literary critics go
gaga.
