About Me:
So, yeah, bike riding. It's a great way to explore cities. I am obsessed with cities and architecture and urban history. I studied them in college. Now I work in the commercial real estate investment industry--shopping malls, office towers, swimming pools, black gold, texas tea. That kind of thing. I guess it's just the sell-out version of my academic interest.
For a long time I thought I would be a professor, and I would have researched the intersection of urban consumer cultures and real estate. But instead of writing about the contradiction of the young, liberal urbanite who constructs his countercultural identity through the consumption of organic goods and other self-consciously non-mass-produced wares, I live the contradiction. Ha! Living a contradiction, what a pompous way to describe myself. It's like the time I used the phrase "valedictory address."
