About Me:
"The intimate revelations of young men or at least the
terms in which they express them are usually
plagiaristic and marred by obvious suppressions. F.
Scott
Fitzgerald
How's that for an introduction? I've always wondered
how people might react if I introduced myself with that
particular quote. It's a much better answer than the
usual circumlocutions people use to avoid talking
about
themselves.
But anyway, I promise I'm not always a cynic. I do have
moments in which I feel some heightened sensitivity to
the promises of life, an extraordinary gift for hope, a
romantic readiness such as I have never found in any
other person and...hey, wait a second--that's Fitzgerald!
Am I really doomed to plagiarism? Sigh...

of my closest and best friends. Not
only do I hope for many more years of
knowing him, I like the fact that we
have a lot of great memories
together. He's one of the best people
in the world and I hope that we have
many decades more of being friends.
We had a rough spot, pal, but things
are looking up. Let's never live
together again unless we're in the
same place and poor as (insert
metaphor here). To know David is to
love him...
four years now? Something like that?
He's a fun fellow (although he did join
up across the way) who wears Converse
sneakers, and that means he must be all
right. He loiters outside of Park Hall
sometimes, too, and I'm a fan of
loitering. Yay!
