        After months of tabloid reports, and nasty rumours, Avril Lavigne and Deryck Whibley have both confirmed that they are officially separating, and in Avril's words, "On a positive note”. Hope she gets through this separation in one piece. We are completely behind you Avril!! Although the couples have split, Avril states that they are both still good friends.

        Deryck and I have been together for 6 and half years. We have been friends since I was 17, started dating when I was 19, and married when I was 21.
