paper entitled "Voodoo Economics,
AIDS, and 'Howard the Duck': A socio-
political interpretation of the most
underrated film of the '80s." I was
slightly disappointed that he didn't
explore the Brechtian quality the film's
director created by casting a man in a
duck-suit instead of an actual duck as
Howard, but I realize that that would
have required him to stray too far from
his thesis. It is wonderful to know
another person who was born with
movies pumping through his veins. We
WILL beat The Man and make The
Sarah Lawrence Film Society the most
powerful organization on campus.
he's sitting on some steps on (i think)
5th ave with some ladies and the one
next to him has this awesome revolted
look on her face. it takes balls to use a
picture like that on your friendster page.
it also takes balls to pitch a film mag
mostly written by yourself to a small dvd
store, thereby getting said dvd store to
publish your college essay type insights
on film and the world in general. good
work, evan. you will definitely go very far
in the entertainment industry. you and
your balls.
be on the SLC campus on Sunday the
10th of October as well as the
11th....get happy now :)
my long-ass-angry drive and for not
being mad when i said i was ready to
get upset so i called you. ;-) <3
wherein they described former star bo
jackson's ability to excel at multiple
sports. "bo knows baseball. bo knows
football." simple. if nike gave a
shit, they might run a similar ad
campaign about evan. "evan knows film.
evan really knows film." however, evan
is not limited in his knowledge or
ability (not all the fingers are in
one pie, if you will) and to assume
otherwise is a dangerous
misunderstanding of the truth. the
truth is evan is extremely engaging,
kind, highly perspective and
strikingly non-judgmental (or
alternately skillfully veiled in his
judgment). and oh, about film... yeah
he knows as much as anyone i've ever
met and that is coming from a huge
film snob. in summation, evan fucking
owns.
name I've ever heard in my life. I
would love to bear the same name as
you. It would be so cool if my name was
also Evan, everyone and their mother
would want to be my friend. Well anyway
keep rocking your kickass name.
