What I enjoy doing:
oh lots of things...i'm a big nerd, so reading is right up there and the usual high school stuff: sitting & chilling with friends, beer....hmmmmm beer, smoking the swerve, listening to good music, wranglin', politics
-
Favorite Books:
oh, gosh, so many....lamb, snow crash, the corner and homicide, anything by irvine welsh, a people's history of the united states, the eagle's shadow, bad boys, neuromancer, any 20th Century US history book, fast food nation
-
Favorite Movies:
trainspotting (seeing a trend?), Secretary, Auntie Mame, anything by Kevin Smith, Monty Python and ANY Mel Brooks movie (well, ok not Life Stinks, because that sucked), any indie flick, foreign film or documentary
-
Favorite Music:
house music (anything deep and jazzy), jazz, not-so-mainstream hip hop, downtempo, britpop, indie rock, otaku soundsystems
-
Favorite TV Shows:
the simpsons, west wing, sex in the city, six feet under, the sopranos, the wire (I'm an HBO freak, can't you tell?), the daily show, queer eye for the straight guy
-
About Me:
Well, ummmmmm, I'm a pretty driven person. Like, intense
and whatnot. I taught in inner city Baltimore and now I teach special education in Washington DC. I was
described as having 'no fear' by one of my mentors
(good or bad? you be the judge...). Other than that, I
love to have a good time and engage in any type of
conversation that broadens my horizons about anything. I love doing cultural stuff and travelling, but I haven't been able to because I've been going to school, working, etc. Oh yeah, and politics. I loves me my politics :) I'm pretty much up for anything at anytime, as long as it's not really on a weekday evening because I get up at the butt crack of dawn.
-
Who I Want to Meet:
Anyone who can talk to me about anything....I'm always up
for opening my mind to new theories and ideas.....oh,
and anyone that can put up with my super crazy busy
schedule....which has gotten even crazier because the new
school has me putting in many, many hours....

taught me to not be so uptight and
straight laced. It was also Robin that
first got me interested in Make-up when
she let me do hers for her prom! She is
the greatest chick ever! Remember when
Mrs. Dubb told you that you should just
go to Michigan State because you
weren't going to get into Michigan and
you shoved your acceptance letter at
her? Good Times, Good Times! Come visit
me in NYC
Robin was, "That is one great voice."
The second thing was, "Those are some
major pants." With her sardonic put-
downs and hard to impress nature, she
is hysterical be around. She's a loyal
friend, a good listener and a great
person to drink Lindemans with, even if
it's the only time I can keep up
besides that time in Little
Italy...Robin knows I love her. Even if
she doesn't like to wear the same
colors as I. In the Land of Marion,
black will always rule.
Robin when I was growing up? The world
needs more walking, talking naughty
schoolteacher stereotypes. And she's a
Deanie Baby on top of it! WOOOOOO!
...and might I add... HOOOO!
voice is coming from that person. Robin
has a great sense of humor and will
knock you out on the dancefloor as well.
Many fun nights with her rocking Sonar.
talk to her long enough you'll discover
that she's a hippie freakbag, one of
those active people who think they're
trying to make the world
better..*snicker*.
If you call her from a bar and lure her
with beer she'll be there in 5 minutes
or less! ^_^
Lawnmower better then anyone else I
know.
times, but I've always been amazed by
her humor, wit and intellect. She has
to be the best teacher in the world.
Robin is fabulous.. and through chats,
i'm thinking maybe she likes shopping
more than i do.
fashion police, all witty intelligence,
Robin brings the Motor City Madness,
like a more petite Ted Nugent. :)
