Photography has become my interest lately. I love music and books. Wanna take up dancing but i dun think i can manage so many things at one time. Bike license. Thats number one on the list for this year. Determine to finish it by this year. Fishing is a hobby that i lost touch for sometime now ever since i've got my events going on.

Thriller/Suspense/Murder, historical romance. Authors are many i should say, Sidney, Danielle, Judith McNaught, Iris and so many. These are my hot favourites but i do go over to other authors to have a different read sometimes.

Am a movie freak since i was young. Used to go to the movies alone and enjoy myself so much. Love any kind of movies. Mostly, romance comedy, war movies, thriller suspense. Lately, no time to go thearters so i buy the DVD instead to catch up the latest.

Tamil, thats my native and esp folk songs cos i bond with those songs alot. Hindi music as well, RnB but not so much as i'm not into those hip hop thangs, intrumental music of any. Classical music as well. Alot i should say. Lately, i've been a big fan of the oldies as well.

Hiaz, though i have no time i should say that i have my favourites as well. Cooking shows, Me or the dog in arts central, documentaries on human beings and animals. Animal Planet is my favourite channel, hmm.... Dr House, many many la.

I'm a young female photographer aspiring to an established photographer in the Indian market. Snap Productions is my own company.

I dun really enjoy fashion or design for that matter but photography seems to be the right medium for me, but it took me a while to zero in on the work I love and enjoy doing. In the beginning, it was friends' birthdays I slipped my HP camera in my bag to the ceremony. I thought if I got bored, I could just snap some pictures. Once I shot my first of couple functions, I was totally hooked. Yes, I find my calling, and that is photographing weddings and everything else.


For me, weddings are unique, fun, and heart touching. Everywhere I looked, everyone I saw inspired me. What an emotional day. Everyone is laughing, smiling, tearing, and having such a wonderful, and unforgettable time. Instead of directing what pictures I want to make, I prefer to work like an observer, let the event unfold its own, document the event unobtrusively, and respectfully.


I prefer photo journalistic approach, where people don't know their photo's being taken, where bride and groom don't pose, or look at the camera and say "cheese"! There are no such PERFECT pictures, but pictures that reveal REAL personalities; reveal TRUE moments; and reveal what your wedding day really is. Years to come, this is what we’d like to remember and treasure...


Photography.... it took a sudden interest in me. I love to take pictures and see them through over and over again. In fact, I'm intending to take up my certificate in photography and videography. If it’s going to cost me money, I'm willing to take some sacrifices for that. Def, i can’t be doing full time studies. Because i need to contribute for my family too. Well, the standard of living is very high for me. Anyway, here, I'm not going to talk about my other reasons for photography but just to share what goes thru my mind when I'm going to go for an assignment.

When i get booked for the assignment, well, firstly, I'll start preparing myself for the day in much advance. Let me tell you something, i cant handle big crowds before. But ever since i started this photography, i started to feel at ease in crowds. So many of different people with so many characteristics from all walks of life you get to see in each assignment. And every time, they're all different. Once I'm comfortable with them, i love to mingle with the crowd. And it’s in my nature to help out with tasks. In all my assignments, i try to give a helping hand to whoever needs it. I feel that i grow into the family just in that few hours that i spend with the people.

One day before my assignment, I'll call my clients and confirm the timing and place with them so that they know that the photographer is a lady. The reason is sometimes I being referred to them by my regular client and they do not know me as a lady photographer. And the night before my assignment, i won’t be able to sleep well at all. Because I'm praying to God that nothing bad should happen as i want the function to go on smoothly. I make sure i get up early if the assignment is in the morning so that i can double confirm the batteries are charged and everything is in the bag and have a light breakfast. And I'll always be at least 1/2 hr early.

Since young, I've always dreamed of having a very traditional marriage but it’s just that I'm not gifted to have a family to have one. Then someone promised us that we shall go India and get married there in one of the well-known temples. But that has also been destroyed so I’ve decided to accept just the way it is and make the best out of my small affair wedding.

Doing photography is not easy at all. But if you know what’s expected out of the functions, and you love every bit of the time and the camera in the first place, then you won’t have to worry about anything. Of course, you need to love sweating your ass out for it too. Doing a temple wedding will be one good example. And also, you need to be in the right place and get the perfect place to take all the important parts of a function. And you must be readily waiting to snap pictures because you would never know when the mother would give a kiss to the daughter. Or when the groom will do some weird thing to make his bride happy on the wedding day. Things just happen. We cannot be telling the people that “Oh, no i was not ready”.

So you see, you have to be very alert. Of course, i get to see the latest designs of sarees, beautiful babes, handsome looking dudes.... uncle and aunties and most importantly the family love that revolves in the atmosphere.

Yes, I love weddings and everything else.

I've met wonderful families and people and even have made friends with some of my clients as well. With God's blessing, i am walking this path with love.
