About Me:
My fourth grade teacher called me a "the absent minded professor". The zeigeist has stuck for most of my life. I aspire to be a kind of non-violent James Bond reinterpreted by Revenge of the Nerds. Ben Franklin and Richard Branson are my heroes. I've done: skydiving, surfing, scuba, helicoptering, and Argentine Tango. I'm a Notary Public, traveller, ham radio, hacker, dancer, entrepreneur, and non-profit founder. I've been an honorary Sexiest Geek Alive. I am strange but harmless, silly and adventurous. If life isn't a little surreal, it's not being lived properly. I've been to ballerina pie fights in San Francisco, wandered through Tunisian villages, biked down Florentine hillsides at night, taught computer scinece in Ghana, reported for the Korean media in Las Vegas, conducted surveys in Sweden, been north of the Arctic Circle, eaten moose and reindeer, outdrank British sailors in Helsinki. and thrown 400-person parties at my house (parties these days are more tame and involve 100 people bringing over laptops and Red Bull for an all-night hack session). I'm relentlessly cheerful and odd. I love hugs. I know a little French, less Portuguese, and even less Farsi. I'm messy and late to everything. I spend way too much time in front of the computer, but I love hiking and any kind of exploring at all. I was planning on moving to New Zealand in February '06, but the company I founded is taking off and it would be remiss of me to go anywhere at this point. :) But I *am* planning on travelling the world sometime soon. On the short-list are Thailand, New Zealand, China, India, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Estonia, Lithuania, and the UAE.

Who I Want to Meet:
Superclever and supergoofy people. I really like that rare combination of witty and zany. People that love travel and are curious about everything. People with kind souls who don't think good hugs are weird. People who don't smoke. Christians who struggle intellectually. People that like camping and eating all kinds of different things. People who enjoy standing on their head for reasons having nothing to do with alternative substances. People who like inspiring and being inspired. If your friends are amazed by your strangeness, diversity of interests, and cleverness, I absolutely want to meet you. Especially if you don't actually believe your friends. Hot science PhD candidates a plus. I know y'all are out there...:)

you feel better about yourself when you're
with him. He's just that great a guy - you
must be awesome cause he likes you.
Oh, and the hotness doesn't hurt, although
sometimes i have to look away.
camp many many many years ago, and have
been driving each other crazy ever since.
Someday he'll probably be one of my
bridesmaids, or maybe even my maid of honor.
I've seen him in a dress once, and damn, it was
hot! We've somehow managed to stay friends
even though we haven't lived within 1,000 miles
of each other for years. It must be because we
both know we will never meet anyone else so
smart, funny, attractive, or crazy...The world can
only handle two of us.
believe, if i remember correctly, the very first
time i met david we stared into each other for
a very long time, and something deep down
was touched in both of us. he has this way of
reaching into your heart ever so gently and
brushing away pain with his crystal blue eyes.
his laughter and unique unserdtandings and
observations of the world are priceless. who
couldnt love this charming geek;) much love
dave.
single friendly action. He's an influential
person. You could even say he's nifty.
one of those people who those people
know is Dave. Someday he will be more
famous than he already is.
that because we were meant to be
friends or because we know like a
million people in common... :p
aside from just being one chill dude,
he's fun, thoughtful, full of
surprises and smart as heck. also, he
throws amazing parties and is a great
dancer (or so i've heard).
that was a wonderful corona tank
display tonite, btw... :)
1. He is a kind, generous individual.
2. He's not just a person, he's a force
of nature.
3. He's sharp as a tack, bright as a
button, smart as... well, pretty darn
smart.
4. Those blue eyes of his.
5. He can do ten things at once. He's
that good.
6. He's a ninja. Oh, sure, he'll deny
it, but he is.
7. He's a doer, not a talker.
8. He'll take the time to meet up with
you after not seeing you for five years.
9. He drives a very fun car.
10. He makes omelettes with bananas.
Sheer brilliance!
the past month and he only got, like, a *tiny*
bit grumpy. dave makes you realize you're a
bad friend but doesn't want you to ever feel
that way. be nice to him.
