Now, after a few crappy seaons and no predictions because no one stood out to me, this one seems promising.
I have a new predicition about who will win: David Archuleta. This kid is so talented! And at only 17 years old. It's amazing.

David was born Dec. 28, 1990 in Miami, Florida. He is of Hispanic - American decent. He and his family lived in various cities in Florida until the age 6. He later moved to Salt Lake City, Utah, in February 1997. He later moved to Murray, Utah (a suburb of Salt Lake City)where he currently resides with his parents, one brother, Daniel, and three sisters, Claudia, Jazzy, and Amber. His family is Mormon and belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. When he was 10 years old, David auditioned for a Utah talent competition. He was reluctant to sing in public, but he recieved a standing ovation after singing "I Will Always Love You". He has since participated in the talent competition Star Search, where he won in the Junior Singer category at the age of 12.

Controversy of David being a possible "plant" by the producers has been speculated due to the fact that he has past ties to American Idol.
David won $100,000 in the Junior Singer category of Star Search in 2003 when he was 12 years old. Towards the end of the American Idol first season, a friend of the family called about a show Jenny Jones was doing to feature talented kids across America and thought David should audition for the show. A show producer called and listened to an a capella recording of David singing "And I Am Telling You", and was so impressed, she asked him to rush a video and CD to them. A few days later, David and his dad were on a plane to Chicago to be on the show. While there he met AJ Gil from American Idol and formed a friendship with him, and a week later while in LA, met with AJ who then introduced David to the rest of the American Idol finalists including Kelly, Justin, Tamyra, Christina, Nikki, RJ, Jim, Ryan, and Ejay, and asked him to perform for them. They were absolutely amazed with his singing, and within a few days David was being introduced to many TV and Record label producers and executives.'
