      • You cannot help but love this boy.

Yes, he has a bit of a wicked streak. But
there's no doubt, at least in my mind, that
William is a good person, who, given the right
occasion, might do bad things. (Ask him what
he did to Sarah. mmhmm.) Those instances
are far outweighed by all his unbelievably
positive qualities. The way he gets all excited
        about a grammatical challenge (whoever?
whomever?). How he giggles while referring
to himself as "The Abominable GayMan". His
hugs. The voice (holy crap, the voice). The
way he CANNOT take a picture without
making that face (you know the one). There
are so many fantastic things about William,
but I really have to get back to work now, and
anyway, you're the writer here, Patch, not me.
        I. Not I.

But I repeat. You cannot help but love this
boy. Unless, of course, you're Sarah
        Harnisch.

        Do you see?

      • Rick is competitive. I know this to be true as I beat
him at dominoes once. It wasn't pretty but he took
it like a man. Now that I think about it though,
        we've never played since...

My time with Rick is spent mostly talking or
listening. And of course smoking... This is not so
good. There is also a fair amount of time spent
curled up with pizza watching Buffy - then no one
        talks.

Rick often looks so earnest. The expression on
his face as he dashes across the street almost but
never quite late for a movie or scanning the crowd
waiting for me at a reading is one of gravity and
intention. This makes him seem all the lovelier
        when he smiles...

      • Rick aka William has become my best friend over
the past year. I can think of no one I would rather
do something with or just do nothing at all. Rick
has a very big heart and is not afraid to share it
with you. He is also very smart, funny, and pretty
easy on the eyes. But more importantly he can
see into your soul and manages to make you
express things to him you probably have never
told anyone else in your life. Rick is always open
to communication, even if we had a disagreement
he would rather discuss, disect, analyze it and
move on than let it staginate and hurt our
friendship. I respect that and him immensely. He
constantly challenges me to be a better person
and open myself up to the world around me. I
value and cherish him more than he will ever
know. Thank you Rick for being my friend- you
enhance my life with your prescence.

      • william is full of surprises. i've learned
to expect the unexpected from him.

he has a way of getting to your most
hidden places, no matter how under
        lock and key you
believe them to be. . . has somewhat of
a knack for it . . perhaps its a gift.

whatever it is, he makes me feel equally
crazy and calm all at the same time. . .

though i do tend to forget it from time to
        time,
his presence in my life reminds me,
        when i'm not overthinking everything,
        that things do get better.

      • william makes me bristle like a
        cornered animal. his competitiveness
makes me want to discover his weakness
and crush him. i WILL find it! until
then i will be content basking in the
warmth of his cozy company . . . i will
        find it.

      • Yum! Yes, Will-Yum is the reason I'm
on Friendster. He's such a good guy,
and a good friend to boot! On many,
        many occasions, we've laughed alot,
cried when we needed to, and drank more
        than we should have...
Ah, the good times!!! I miss our daily
lunch date... but he knows that. Oh,
and he really is a HOTTIE! Yum, get a
        better picture!!!

      • i met rick (can i use that name? who
is william?) years ago in college. i
have to admit, we didn't immediately
hit it off. sure, we shared an
affinity for the same amazing man, but
he and i didn't quite click. then, a
few months ago, i had the pleasure of
being included on his "journey of love"
tour of the west coast. and can i tell
you, this rick/william guy is amazing!
he's super smart, really funny and
tells a story like no one i know. i
was almost in tears after he shared a
story about the huge heart he wears on
his sleeve (remember your snot story,
rick? loved that!) he's just a
sweetheart and i'm so glad i got a
second chance to get to know him. i am
happy and honored to call him my
friendster. and i have to add, his
photos don't really do him justice.
        he's a cutie pie!
