About Me:
Tekiah is a progressive Jewish organization in greater
Boston that's been around for about five years. We
organize around issues of social and economic justice that
impact our local community. We like to say that we're a
Jewish voice in the progressive community and a progressive
voice in the Jewish community. Right now, we're in the
midst of an immigrant rights campaign, working as allies to
a number of immigrant-led organizations in the area. We're
also doing work around diversity and oppression dynamics
within the Jewish community itself.

Testimonials and Comments for Tekiah
No, Tekiah IS changing the world, and
for the better! Tekiah inspires me.
Tekiah gets me to go out in inclement
weather, and it is always worth it. We
have amazing potlucks, rockin parties,
well-faciliated meetings, and then we
actually do the stuff that we spend all
that time talking about. You should join
us, in body, spiritually, financially, or
even just on friendster.
fundraising coordinator. Contrary to
popular belief, this has *confirmed* for
me that they are utterly insane. And
this afternoon, I saw them oppressing
potatoes and garbanzo beans in my
kitchen. Nonetheless, I think they're a
cool organization, and point all
progressive Jewish activists I know in
the Boston-area in their direction.
Mostly because, well, what would my
mother think if I didn't support a
Jewish organization? :)
that knows where it's at - they know
how to organize, they know how to
educate, and they know how to have
fun. Their Latkes & Vodkas party in
December was quite possibly the
best party I went to all year.
