I recently read books on Jackie Robinson, Robert Kennedy, the Black Plague, and the history of the calendar. On planes I read spy novels, medical thrillers, and historical mysteries. And Jane Austen rules!

To give a good variety: Rebecca, Contact, To Kill a Mockingbird, Alladin, The Ghost and Mrs. Muir, Die Hard, and Apollo 13 (plus I have to admit, the even-numbered Star Trek movies)

80s pop (why not be honest?), Classical

don't really watch tv, but in hotel rooms I love to watch the History Channel, Animal Planet, and those crime shows like CSI

I spend most of my free time with family and friends or travelling to see family and friends. I am devoted my rather out-there specialty of medieval illuminated manuscripts, and can interest almost anyone in them, given the opportunity. I hate shopping, love dogs, and like to keep busy. I also like being adventurous as long as it doesn't involve any skill on my part: parasailing, skydiving, bungy jumping- good; rock climbing, hang-gliding, learning how to fly- bad.

Someone interested in... whatever- having a curious mind is the main ingredient. I'm also looking for people who are active, socially aware, and basically happy. I find that everyone I meet has something interesting to offer, although I usually get on better with outdoorsy, down-to-earth, levelheaded people than with moody, artistic, tortured souls.
