        We are turning 9 this year.

        The Malay Cultural Club was founded in 1998 by a group of
        cultural enthusiasts, with the vision to promote the rich
        Malay culture in Ngee Ann Polytechnic. Then, it started
        out with only dance as its main activity. Thus, a
        traditional Dance Group, Warisan Mandiling, was formed. Now, the dance group is known as XPDtari.
        After 5 years of its establishment, MCC is proud to
        see the new inception of the Drama Unit, Sri Nadi. The year following that, Dikir Girls Group, Adiratna, Adiratna, were opened up. Last year, the Dikir Guys Group, Paduka, was formed. And this year, our new department, Language group,Cendekiawan, was formed. That brings a total of more than 50 members into the club.

        Our Participations:
        -within campus events such as President's Charity Concert,X!Capade @ Ngee Ann City,Np Open House
        -external events, within Singapore, such as Pesta Pantun, Bahas 4PM,Awallah Dondang,Gema Puisi Artistik 2005, 2006 & 2007
        -overseas performances such as Cultural Exchange Programme in Perth and Kuala Lumpur
        -Bahas 4PM 2007

        -Piala Citra 2005 (3rd place for Piala Sutera Category)
        -Gema Puisi Artistik 2007 (Champion)
        -Bahas 4PM (Pembahas Terbaik -NP vs. RP)
        -Outstanding Society Award (Arts & Cultural Category) 2006/2007
