Flicked Mind

Flicked Mind, founded by Yuki in June 2007, was named after her wrong pronunciation of the word "flicker". On the other hand, it also suggests that she changes her ideas and working styles quite frequently.

However, it was the first generation where they have members including Azim (drum), Fizi (guitar), Adib (Bass), and Yuki (Vocal / keyboard).

Driven by the strong passion of each member towards music, Flicked Mind transformed from a cover-playing band to a self-composing band within 3 months time. And now, the second generation which started on early May 2008, with new members Selphie, Choy and Zaim they begun their journey of exploiting new sounds and mixing different types of genre together to create music that is non-conventional, individual and yet, true to themselves .

Basically, Flicked Mind’s music is mostly alternative and pop/ rock-like, with mixture of irony, emotional and child-like elements in the lyrics. Humor and sarcasms are always around the corner as well but the idea itself always subjective thou.

Yuki:
~ Vocal, Song Writer, Lyricist, Backup Keyboardist
~Yuki is currently taking Bachelor Classical Music in UCSI. She took classical piano as her major instrument and classical vocal as her minor. Although she is a classical based student, she has a strong passion towards contemporary music and forming band is seems to be a ''calling'' for her and it seems that she cant escape the fate of working in a band :p

Selphie:
~Keyboardist, Backup vocal, Song Writer
~ Selphie is currently studying in UCSI, taking Bachelor Contemporary Music. As a keyboardist, Selphie had participated various performances, including stage shows, gigs and wedding events. Besides keyboard, Selphie can also play chinese instruments including Er Hu and Gu Zheng.

Fizi:
~Guitarist, Song Writer
~Fizi is the youngest member in Flicked Mind. He started playing guitar since 2003 and have been playing for many other bands as sessionist or permanent player and has performed in various gigs since then. Now, Fizi is waiting to further his studies in sound engineering soon in July.

Azim:
~Drummer (Former)
~Azim is currently studying in UCTI, majoring in e-commerce. Since music is always been part of his life, he is trying hard to balance both business and music. Thus, he is taking music as a part time activity, and also one of the main hobbies! He listens mostly to alternative rock and a little bit of jazz. Azim had performed with the fridays, apple juice and civil disorder.
