I got acquainted with Ben at KnowNow,
where I had a chance to work on a
software project last year. He is a
very smart kiddo, no doubts. When I
saw him for the first time, he somehow
reminded me Oleg Yankovsky, a Russian
movie actor, who played baron
Munchausen in one of Mark Zakharov's
movies - "That very Munchausen" (If I
translate it correctly). Long hair and
esoteric goatee certainly went along
with the image, but I could not figure
out quite yet what exactly stroke the
resemblance. Eventually it came
through though. Although quiet most of
the time, Ben does have a lot to say
if you let him talk.
Like Adam, Ben is on my list of top-ten
all-time favorite people whom I feel
privileged to know. He has breadth and
depth and is one very interesting
person. Plus, he likes anime and
chocolate, and is such a cool person
that I totally felt okay about sending
him a sample of cocoa mulch, knowing I
could trust him to take it in the
absolute right way. Thanks for being
you, Ben!
Ben is a gentleman, a true friend, and
one of the most creative people I know.
Thank goodness he's willing to take
chances sometimes or I never would have
met him. I will always support him in
wherever he wants to go and whatever he
wants to do.
