Kara Crane was born on Novemeber 30th 1990 in Orange County, California. She attended a normal elementry school, which is where she decided she wanted act and sing. Kara told her mother that she wanted to act and sign after getting the role of Marta Vontrapp in the Sound of Music. So she went on to do theater for the seven years that followed. She now attends the Orange County High School of the Arts in the U.S. Kara can speak English and Spanish, she would love to learn how to speak Filipino since that is part of her ethnicity. She is also half Russian. Kara is just begining to take the world by storm with her happy-go-lucky character Jeanette in Minutemen and her new characacter Piper in Disney's new show 'The Suite Life on Deck' coming later this year or early 2009. A frequently asked question is: has Kara ever thought of taking up singing? Quoted from our first interview with Kara she says: "I've actually been singing longer than I've been acting. I go to a high school called OCHSA for musical theatre and am required to sing everyday." Kara has so far led a great and productive acting life but we can only hope to see more the beautiful talented actress.

AN INTERVIEW WITH KARA CRANE:

1) Do You Have A Favorite Memory About Filming Minutemen?
Kara: My favorite memory was definitely getting to hang out with the cast. We would go to dinner every night, hang out at the pool, and have late night chats. On the last night, we had a poker party and ate cookies and drank milk. It was so much fun.
2) Was It Jeanette That You Originally Auditioned For?
Kara: No! I actually auditioned for Stephanie first. After my audition, the casting director told me "I was more of a Jeanette" and I came back the next day to try out for that part.
3) If You Could Have Played Another Role In Minutemen Who Would It Have Been?
Kara: Probably one of the boys so I could wear a snowsuit
4) What is you're Favorite Theme Park to Visit?
Kara: Disneyland. I have a pass and go all the time with my friends.
5) What Is Your Dream Role?
Kara: I would love to be in an animated series.
6) Who Was The First Friend You Made On The Minutemen Set?
Kara: Luke. The both of us went to the gym on the first night. He made me lift all these weights and I thought my arms were going to fall off :]
7) How Old Were You When You First Knew You Wanted To Act?
Kara: I was in 4th grade. I tried out for The Sound of Music and got the role of Marta Vontrapp. I told my mom I really liked acting and did theatre for the next 7 years.
8) If You Could Guest star on any Disney TV show what would it be?
Kara: J.O.N.A.S! So I could hang out with Chelsea.
9) Are There Any Movies That You Have Worked On In The Past That Don't Show Up On IMDB?
Kara: I had one line in a movie called "Blow" with Johnny Depp.
10) Do You Still Live In The Same Town As You Did Before You Started Acting?
Kara: Yes. I love Orange County.
