now I remember everything... Growing
up in Des Moines, Iowa, we didnt
really have much to do. Kate and I
(age 4 and 6) used to take our Little
Tykes dirt bike racers out to the
prairie and chase prairie dogs. ahhh
the good old days. Then, some years
later, I lay in a hospital in New
Jersey after getting wounded in the
first Gulf War (George Jr aint nothing
like his dear old dad) and of all the
people to tend to my wounded left knee
(and wounded heart) who did I see but
Kate! She came wiggling her ass into
my hospital room, wearing this hot
nurse's get-up. She took my
temperature and with her holding my
hand it must have risen several
degrees. I begged her for a sponge
bath, but alas, she declined...
easygoing nature combines with her
playful attitude to make fun happen
wherever she goes. More than just
about anyone I know, Kate has a magic
power that lets me totally be myself
around her, and for that I will remain
eternally grateful...
