I am a funny yet serious, open-minded, optimistic, liberal, trustworthy, and sometimes quirky individual! I love to try new things, and love to find the best in the people that I know. Sometimes I can get confused or bogged down in things that others may find to be boring, but I really enjoy most of the things that I do! I really love interacting with people, and want to make the world a better place. I enjoy teaching and learning and am very interested in traveling and learning about different cultures and ideas. I am pro-peace and am currently upset to be an American, since it seems that so many really do not seem to be moved to be so mad at the current environmental, war, and other situations that are developing all around us each and every day. Yet, I still try every day to make a difference and to learn from my books, and the people around me. My wife and I just gave birth to a beautiful baby boy!
My wife is currently enrolled full time for real college credit and wants to start and finish her degree!
I have finally passed my generals and now can focus on getting out of here and to traveling and exploring the world more! I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. :)
UPDATES:
1. YZ is doing very well!
2. My thesis is coming along nicely...
3. I am sick and tired of all of the prejudice against Chinese people from the US Media, and the major candidates running for president (Clinton is so far the ONLY one who has not done this...once Obama did so, my entire family and set of good friends turned out in force to vote against him).
4. I am sick of the prejudice against Asia in general in society. This permeates so deeply that even the scientific and legalistic literature are filled with it, both directly and indirectly.
5. Back to focusing on climate change, where I feel I have a greater chance of success than the issue of racism. :)
