This guy is solid. For sure. Andy is
funny and smart and funny and cute and
funny and a great singer and, this is
for sure, a great drinker and master
party-thrower and,um, funny. What other
guy (with his girlfriends'
encouragement) can you sit at a bar
with and make flirtatious comments to
people while at the same time insulting
their anatomy? It takes nothing short of
a political minded, cocktail drinking
genius and Andy is all that and more.I
don't see him enough but when I do it
makes me squeal like a schoolgirl.
andy...well, he "thought" (or pretended) he
knew me for awhile...until i was fortunate
enough to make his acquaintance...and
have him sing punk rock girl upon request
so me and mary beth could bounce along
with him...yeah, friendly, cute, sweet, and
one mad karaoke singer...what is there to
not want to know?
I met Andy at karaoke. Is this
surprising? During his breath-taking
rendition of "Can't Fight This
Feeling," I had a premonition of
countless evenings spent in drunken
dive-bar delirium with this guy -- a
prediction I am proud to say has come
true. My favorite Andy-quote {uttered
at the Twilight Exit, of course}: "I
love fun." And you haven't known fun
until you've witnessed Andy sing Barry
Manilow...
Andy's a guy who'll cry when his heart
is too full, simply bite his lip when he
breaks an ankle, or laugh outloud
when Ping shits out a used condom.
Who can't appreciate this kind of
behavior in the face of adversity?
Also, a lot of people I knew in Seattle
moved away. This is a good thing,
cause Andy's still there, and it means
that when I'm home, I get to spend all
of my 'friends' time with him. I heart
Andy.
A few things should be noted: (A)
Anyone who actually buys someone a
drink when she suggests it has it
coming to him. (B) A reciprocal
drink _was_ purchased. (C) Andy
likes to strip in public. He's the
tease here.
Had it not been for a few crazy boys I
shared a stinky punk rock house with
and your crazy ex, we would not know
each other. I constantly reminisce
over the good ole' days. Glad you are
a part of them, man.
I first met Andy in High School. I
can't even begin to summarize our
friendship. Earliest memories: "He's
not pro? That kid can skate! (kick-flip
down the double-set of stairs at SCCC
comes to mind). But wait, that kid can
also dance (swing), rock out (his old
band cowlick). Ha! I thought Andy was
cool even before he took his clothes
off! Andy got me into Photoshop and
HTML way back when. What can I say?
Andy OWNZ U!
when I first moved to seattle, let's
say,umm..(count's his fingers) ten years ago,
Andy was my skate idol. I wanted to be just
like him, but i lacked a few things.
Coordintion, balls, chisled features, really soft
black wheels, and the ability so spell
multisyllabic words corectley were just a few
of them, so he never said much to me. Over
the span of time, we.ve gotten to know each
other, created a bond, made not of glue, but
of mutual respect. so today, as we skated past
each other on the street, I think he may have
nodded at me, or at least turned his head in
the direction of the noise of my wheels rolling,
which I think is really something.....
