If we speak, tell me the things you normally would not say and if you can get past this somewhat curmudgeonly presentation of myself, it's probably a good sign. 08/25/2008

About Me:
The vanity of an "About Me" section in a profile can be quite pathetic. Yet, here we go: I can appreciate the finer things in life, but I am not defined by them. I can also appreciate the simplicity of things and situations. I believe that the only constant that we have in life is the people with whom we establish lasting relationships with, and yourself. It is the only thing that can't change in the blink of an eye - I like to think that I am a person who is committed to the people who are important to me. I think it is important to define yourself by the stength of your character rather than the world around you. That way, you always know what you've got in the end. Nothing really unique about me because I believe we surround ourselves with people who are in some aspect reflections of ourself. I'm blessed to have many great friends, and each have something different about them, but the commom thread is through our hearts. We still have our differences, which only enhance our lives and opens the door to grow. I do believe personal integrity is the key foundation to establish trust in developing new friendships, and cultivating existing ones. I'll admit that I make my own mistakes, yet I believe in owing up to my mistakes, and learn from them. I'm an easy going guy who likes to have a little fun every now and then. I love staying in with friends as much as a hang out in some bars. My friends are very important to me. They are my family. I look to them for support and try to give them the same in every way possible. I love y'all

Who I Want to Meet:
Friends for sure. I'm interested in meeting people and cultivating friendships. I am looking to meet people who are intelligent, emotionally mature, politically astute, and enjoy healthy doses of humor. Send me an email and let's go from there. Also I'd like to meet people for fun and hanging out. I like to date too, though that's little as of late. If it leads to more, Godspeed ahead. But I won't force anything. I don't know how I feel about dating currently. I think it needs to be left to fate, as shitty as that sounds. But on that note, for friends and dating you should be able to hold a conversation, that's a pretty big deal right there. And the people that quote numbers alot, like "I make this much" or "I did this much work for this many people" really annoy me. I find it conceited. I'm not impressed with what you have done, I'll be impressed with who you are. But most importantly anyone who can laugh at the stupid things in life.

you're great,
I don't exaggerate.
You're even better
than an apple a day,
because you keep
my woes away.
And I'm know I'm so lucky,
one of the fortunate few,
who has found some warmth
to cherish my whole life through.
Because I have a blessing
on which to depend,
the gift of a loyal
and caring friend
