The [5th]child,the youngest of Late Msgt.CLIMACO Gomez Tomaquin, of Cordova Cebu & Tita S. Dedumo, of Claver Surigao del Norte.Tita Dedumo Vda de Tomaquin, Retsy's mom is coconut land farm owner in Brgy:Panatao, Claver Surigao del Norte and an AFP & SSS pensioner.

Retsy is half cebuano[with Japanese blood due to her grandfather-midle name is {Yallex} & fourth-Tausug in paternal side. half clavernon [with approximate 15 percent Spanish/mexican blood]
& fourth-Indian in maternal side.
She finished her BSED & BEED in Saint Theresa College{STC} & finished her Master of SOCIAL SCIENCES & earned Doctoral Units in Cagayan de Oro College, Cagayan de Oro City, Mindanao, Philippines. She started her career as a college Instructor, First Semester 2002 and at present
she is college instructor[2008].
