agree? not only the cutest, but also the
smartest, the most well read, and the all
around bestest. what a doll...
of hay! deener, deener, deener, she
always makes my day!
Seriously: dena is a dreamy coworker.
her assets include being a great
googler, a fantastic thank-you note
writer, and a reliable provider of daily
candy.
love ya deener! you're the best!
she is also the sweetest person ever
who finds the most obscure, random,
and fascinatingly pertinent to me, things
online at work and then sends them to
me, which i seriously love and makes
my day. dena also likes bikes, and for
this fact alone she is wicked cool. she is
also the only one who says nothing
disparaging about my singing, p.s.
that in her photo she's kissing a queer
but is not a fag hag; that her shoes
never match what she's wearing but
always work; that i can hint at the need
to have a sexually explicit conversation
about penises she may or may not know
and she doesn't get it; that she lives
on the pride parade route for an
ultimate june soiree but her balcony
faces the wrong way; but most of all
because now i have someone to shop/lunch
with while everyone else works.
coffee" for three months straight,
where having coffee means making snarky
jokes & dissecting our love lives
directly across the table from each
other until hoarse, while occasionally
drinking coffee. she has some really
flamboyant boots, and a local, and she
knows how to use them. she is also an
unfailingly good listener & friend.
or a roommate with more pairs of
shoes! The jury is out on which is
more important, so fun personality or
so many pairs of shoes (in my size no
less!)! One day Dena and I may even
have a couch, and a fresh direct
order. I'll believe it when I see
it! She's also a pretty good sister-
except when she tries to kill her
younger sister in the bathtub- not
that I hold a grudge or anything.
Beaners is the kind of sister who
doesn't mind when you giver her a
cheesy pillow for her birthday,
because sisters do laugh and cry and
share memorable moments together! Are
there enough exclamation points
here?!!
about horses that brings a tear to even
the most stoic horse-poem-reader's eye.
accessories, which is something I
really admire in a friend. She knows
about the existence of many exotic
people and places, like Ben Schott and
clothing stores in Queens. And if it
weren't for her, I'd never have found
my home-away-from-home!
people at the bar don't know it yet.
But soon, they will find out, and the
rioja will flow like... rioja. Dena
kicks ass. sometimes all the way down
the street. which is why her shoes must
be not only very hip, but also
comfortable. because an ass-kicking
blister is the worst kind. Dena may
only exist on fridays. Like that weird
welsh or irish or whatever city that was
in a lake or something. Just like that.
