Khyate..one of the newest alternative jazz pop band now will hit the music lines... with their carrier single, "Paglipas ng Ulan", and two other songs "Sweet Silance," and "Mukha"... which are some of the favorites among the youth and young professionals..

This group started as co-teachers in Perfect Harmony music center last 2006. They came up and well rcommended as event performers in debuts, birthdays, weddings. It was just in their midst of informal jammings and fellowship that they discovered each of their own talents and love in writing and making music. It was spear headed by Peachy, who has been their lyricist and lead vocalist..also then became the producer of their first c.d. album.

Originally, they named themselves,"watersteps", where they aim to step out of their comfort zones and take this big step of faith to go beyond their fears and limitations towards their goal for their original compositions to have a strong impact with their songs' profound messages and melodies. Their genre are mix of pop, alternative jazz music which are values oriented.

Their first album entitiled "Watersteps..the journey begins..." has 12 original songs plus a bonus track. It features some of the hits like "Paglipas ng Ulan" , a song about love that shelters composed by Janine Liao, our guest violinist in the album. Included also "Sweet Silence", Also there we cannot simply ignore the touching duet song "Find each Other", where it was written in the midst of discouragements and testing times of the band.

Their name was changed to "KHYATE" last March. Band members consist of Peachy Sulapat, lyricist, vocalist, and producer. She also plays piano and the head teacher of Perfect harmony.. Bong Monton, is also the vocalist, and songwriter of the group.. Romeo Marquez, the drummer oft the group also helped in the music of "Proven". .. Other members are Alvin Villanueva on guitars, Ramon Magno on bass , and their newest member, Third Vibar on keyboards.
Now. the group has partly new set of members, Yzer Hemawas- vocals and guitars replacing Bong Monton.

Their first solo concert was last April 18 & 20 "Intimate night of Music".. where their album was launched. The group also had their various guestings, shows in Riverpark last December, Riverbank Mall, Ever, and Robinsons malls and other invitations.

This band promised not only to make music but to help our country through the influence of music and meaningful messages where they aim change within our hearts first.
