Powers: Firebending; talented with broad swords and hand-to-hand combat.
Background: The 16-year-old son of Fire Lord Ozai, Prince Zuko has been consistently pressured to follow the path expected of him and overshadowed by his prodigy sister, Azula. Two years before, he spoke out against a radical battle plan in the Fire Lord's war room. To regain his honor, Zuko was forced to fight an agni kai, or fire duel, against his own father. Zuko refused to battle the Fire Lord and begged for forgiveness. Ozai struck a blow to his penitent son, which gave him the fiery scar around his left eye and ear. The Fire Lord declared Zuko a disgrace who had shown shameful weakness in refusing to fight and banished him from the Fire Nation. The only way Zuko can regain his honor is to capture the Avatar, and he has been diligently searching for him ever since with his uncle, Iroh, as a mentor and guardian.
Personality: Zuko is very uptight, serious, and has an extremely short temper. His ongoing struggles and hardships serve to fuel this rage and make him more determined. Zuko is very persistent and will do almost anything to capture the Avatar and regain his lost honor, which sometimes causes him to make reckless decisions. He only seeks to return things to normal and will not let anyone stand in his way. Uncle Iroh is often a balance for zuko anger and is constantly trying to calm his nephew and help him find peace.
