mi amor. Don't get me wrong, we are
friends, but in so many ways I see in
him all that I am, some of what I
aspire to be and an innocence I long
ago forgot. He keeps me grounded with
a faith and compassion that in all my
travels I admit to have rarely found.
He inspires me to live up to his great
expectations and I can't help but want
to hold and comfort him when life and
others let him down. He has the soul
of an artist, the libido of a goat and
I could make other barnyard comparisons
but I'll stop there. Great friendships
begin with great people and Matteo is
among the best. He is in my heart and
life for as long as they last. But if
he keeps it up with that voice of his,
my heart may melt a lot faster than my
jadedness can keep it frozen. =)
