I was born on December 30, 1982, in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. I was "discovered" during my senior year of high school, when i was chosen for the role of Laurel in the CBC series Edgemont.

I still resides in Vancouver, and for a few years in addition to appearing regularly on Smallville, i continued my role on Edgemont. I enjoys reading, travel, and spending time with my friends and family.

My father is Dutch and my mother is chinese indonesian. I landed a role in the Canadian teen drama Edgemont when my high-school drama teacher suggested i'm respond to a casting call. I simultaneously worked on Edgemont and Smallville, both of which filmed in my home town of Vancouver. And became a spokesperson for Neutrogena in 2002.
