Vel Maris was put up June of 1998. The Vel Maris is an educational institution commited to provide quality education based on the thrust of values information, and academic excellence as its contribution to the future of our youth. It has three complete departments, Pre-School, Elementary and Secondary levels. It has highly competent and professional administrators, teachers and staffs. It very spacious computer rooms, one for the elementary and one for the high school, as well as well-equipped science and home economics laboratories. Library facilities with updated refereces and up to date newspapers. The school offers available and spacious parking space, school canteens, guidance programs, academic and non-academic scholarships, medical and dental facilities, basketball court, student lounge, book store, audio visual room, chapel, student lockers, speech laboratory and aditorium. The rise of Vel Maris was made possible trough the initiative and effort of Mrs. Lucila Veluz Mangubat, a retired principal/director from a private school with almost fifty years of experience, and with the full support and cooperation of her children, brothers, sister, nieces and nephews.
