a long time now, through college,
first post-college jobs, working on
the same theater projects, caring
about many of the same things. She
is one of my very favorite people to
spend time with, because it will
always be smart and it will always be
fun and she will always look extra
foxy in her own Aarati way.
She left town recently, and she let me
stay at her cool apartment for a few
weeks. Her bookshelves and CD racks
were so full of good stuff that I
would walk around stupefied and --
this is no joke -- repeat out loud to
myself, "Aarati has a rich inner
life." Remember this woman's name; she
just might save the planet. Oh, and
her varied book collection includes
the raunchiest literary pornography I
have ever read.
you will ever meet. It's unreal how
nice she is! She's one of the most
loyal, caring, considerate people I
have never known. She plays the guitar
like a pro, and she writes really cool
songs. She is so great with her little
sister, and she is one of the coolest
cousins I could ask for!
