Born June 9, 1978 in Cambridge, England, Matthew James Bellamy is the main songwriter and lead vocalist, guitarist and pianist in the rock group Muse. He also scores strings for Muse songs. He has a tenor voice and is known for his use of the falsetto register along with his guitar and piano playing ability.
