Victoria's Secret Silkening Body Splash

The origin of a company name is often a mystery. What we discovered, (besides the fact that Heidi Klum has been chosen to wear the Victoria's Secret jewel-encrusted Fantasy Bra a record three -- count 'em, three! -- times) is that there is no one "secret."

The Victoria of Victoria's Secret likely refers to the British queen. Ipso facto, one can conclude the aforementioned "secret" is merely part of a clever branding strategy, alluding to the titillating possibility that the prudish monarch (who at one point during her reign went into seclusion for 25 years) liked to wear sexy lingerie like the stretch lace Miracle Bra. Lucky Prince Albert.

But despite what some would say was a cultivated aura of Anglicism, Victoria's Secret started in the early 70s as a small lingerie shop in San Francisco. The store was decorated, according to Les Wexner, CEO of Victoria's parent company, like a Victorian brothel, complete with red leather sofas.

Not so secret, perhaps, is that over the years, the company has been the subject of various protests and accusations. Some claim it promotes hyper-sexualized images of women. And in 2003, the Supreme Court ruled that a small Kentucky sex shop called "Victor's Little Secret" did not infringe on the company's trademark.

This Victoria's Secret Garden Fragrant Body Splash is just one of the many bath and body products to choose from in their Garden line of lotions, shower gels, and body splashes. There are several scents for consumers to choose from, including Love Spell, Strawberries & Champagne, Pear Glace, Vanilla Lace, Blissful Moment, Endless Love, and Amber Romance, but this review specifically reflects my experience with the Tender Whisper fragrance only. According to product advertising: You'll imagine you're standing in a lush garden of sensual fragrance with our Silkening Body Splash. It lightly moisturizes and soothes skin after the shower or bath, or anytime you want the softly seductive scent of Tender Whisper. The scent is definitely light and airy and simply smells CLEAN yet somewhat floral and nothing like stronger perfumes at all. I can wear it alone or layered over the complimentary body lotion without smelling like I took a bath in an overpowering smelling cologne. Even though the scent easily lingers on my skin for several hours, I can make it last even longer by giving my clothing a final spritz or two of this body splash after getting dressed. So when I want to smell nice but not like I'm obviously wearing a strong perfume, then this Victoria's Secret Garden Fragrant Body Splash is a great alternative.


There are 12 different scents in Victoria's Secret Garden, those are :

2) My Desire - A romantic affair of grapefruit, jasmine and mango, with a hint of vanilla musk.
3) Endless Love - An irresistible blend of pomegranate and apple blossom with peach and ylang-ylang.
4) Romantic Wish - A delightfully delicate marriage of fresh pomegranate, freesia and peony.
5) Sweet Temptation - A luscious citrus-floral fusion of apricot, grapefruit and lily of the valley.
6) Pure Seduction - An enticing blend of casaba melon, plum and freesia.
7) Amber Romance - A warm alluring blend of black cherry, cream anglaise and sandalwood.
8) Vanilla Lace - A rich sensual blend of vanilla and orchid, with hints of amber and musk.
9) Strawberry & Champagne - An intoxicating blend of strawberries, hyacinth, cassis, white flowers and sandalwood.
