About Me:
From Hal Niedzviecki's book "We Want Some Too, Underground Desire and the Reinvention of Mass Culture": (true) "Bleek is a dour, soft-spoken, uncertain fellow.... he's an unlikely emissary for the new language of unpopular pop that is the legacy of our ongoing search for authenticity." - Yeah, right.
Visual and Audio artist. Animal lover. Persistant stoic. Culture Jammer. Has weirdest show on CiTR.
Hard to get to know but good friend eventually. Pro-woman. American/Canadian Liberal and Political Junkie.
Obsessivly listen to American left-wing radio.
There should be an area for favourite radio shows, don't you think? Like TV is everything! Screw TV!

Testimonials and Comments for Bleek
back in 1990 when I met Bleek 'The
Ecorpse', and I can honestly say my
life has been the better ever since.
After two and a half years of hangin
out, we just lost track of each other.
Well, I found him again.... and it
might seem funny, but I feel complete
again. He is someone that made a
profound difference in my life, and
from the time we were not in
communication, I felt a serious
loss.... serious and depressing. I just
want everyone to know that 'I Love this
person'...for all he has done for me,
for the love he shows his life partner
(Mia), for being true to his calling,
and for staying the person in my life I
always felt he was..... A major link in
my 'soulchain':-)
I love you Mon :-)
Swinney single-handedly precipitated a
youth cultural revolution in the
southern interior of British Columbia?
It was like making water run uphill. I
was blessed to drink from those founts.
He was our humble charismatic leader
and spiritual guide and I really owe
most every iota of my current twenty-
odd year old artistic instantiation in
the world to him.
Where to begin? Bleek and i met at CiTR
about 4 years ago. I was playing a
Happy Flowers album on my
show. "Haven't heard this in awhile"
Bleek quipped. I thought he was being
facetious but I couln't have been more
wrong. This man truly loves anything to
do with audio experimentalism,
severity, and most importantly,
integrity. We misunderstand each other
sometimes, but we always know what
we're talking about. I don't know why
hepainted our faces green. That kinda
creeps me out.
