      • About Me:

GREENPEACE began with a small group of individuals who decided to get together to protest against nuclear testing at Amchitka, off the west coast of Alaska. They went on to form GREENPEACE and later initiated campaigns on major environmental issues. One of the founding principles of GREENPEACE is to "bear witness" - that is to watch and record environmental destruction. This principle of direct action together with peaceful confrontation, has been the cornerstone of GREENPEACE's campaigns.

Greenpeace is an independent global campaigning organisation that acts to change attitudes and behaviour, to protect and conserve the environment and to promote peace by:

        - Catalysing an energy revolution to address the number one threat facing our planet: climate change.

        - Defending our oceans by challenging wasteful and destructive fishing, and creating a global network of marine reserves.

        - Protecting the world’s ancient forests and the animals, plants and people that depend on them.

        - Working for disarmament and peace by tackling the causes of conflict and calling for the elimination of all nuclear weapons.

        - Creating a toxic free future with safer alternatives to hazardous chemicals in today's products and manufacturing.

        - Campaigning for sustainable agriculture by rejecting genetically engineered organisms, protecting biodiversity and encouraging socially responsible farming.

      • Greenpeace: Project Clean Water

Freshwater: one of our planet’s most precious resources.

Freshwater from rivers, streams, lakes, springs, and groundwater reservoirs, sustains life on earth. But today these important water sources are in danger.

Pollution from factories, agricultural runoff, municipal wastes and other sources have made access to clean water, difficult, while extreme weather, like drought and heavy rains which cause massive floods, have put additional strains in clean water availability.

        LET'S DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS!!!

      • Let's promote 3A's : Anti Animal Abuse

        Let's support animal rights!!!

We are proud to call ourselves "civilized" and yet things like this still
happen in our society. These animals feel the same pain any human feels.
They fear death and torture just as we do. No act of violence towards a
poor defenseless animal can ever be justified because animals go by their
instincts and are God's creatures too. Let's fight for animal rights &
        protect these loving creatures.

They deserve a decent place here on earth !!!

        i love animals,
