About Me:
Read about my projects at: www.mattschicker.wordpress.com.
I'm really laid back and easy-going - main objectives in life are to create some beautiful things, be a good partner/lover, relax, and enjoy. Usually consumed in some theater project, either directing, acting, or producing - the creative juices always must be flowing. I'm really passionate about music and rarely leave the house without my headphones on - it's my escape and my meditation, gets me through the day. I've been with my partner for 10+ years. It's hard to make friends in NYC - spontaneous get-togethers are difficult and everything in general is expensive. Fortunately, I have some really wonderful friends who are there for me even if we don't see each other on a daily - or even weekly or monthly - basis. I'm hoping to find others who just want to converse casually by e-mail and perhaps get together for a chill movie night or music-listening. Upcoming: producing YANK! A New Musical in October-November 2007 and directing MAN OF LA MANCHA in April-May 2008 at The Gallery Players. Visit www.galleryplayers.com for info on the shows. Directing TWELVE ANGRY MEN at St. Bart's Players in February 2008. Also currently organizing Spring Conference in San Diego for National Alliance for Musical Theatre.

Not since Stevie Wonder has that great
Northern state produced such a
talented, dynamic, awe-worthy prodigy
as Matt. As a young girl I was wowed
by his encylopedic knowledge of music,
his ridiculously large collection of CDs
and the fact that his parents had a
framed poster of Tom Selleck in their
bedroom. Matt stayed up late to watch
Barbarella again and again and then
just one more time. Gosh I'm lucky to
know him.
husband, if he wasn't gay. I told him
I thought he would be the perfect
husband for me, if he didn't have a
lover of his own...and he said-that he
didn't really know me that well. sigh*
matt plays so hard to get
thought I have lost a good friend/co-
worker and someone I can always count
on. Luckily, he has returned!!! Matt,
WELCOME BACK!
