About Me:
Im a New York-based, hi-NRG disco producer my name is
Bobby Orlando. Im not making music anymore because, well,
frankly Im disgusted by the musically inept morons that
dominate the industry.
I am a well-recognized producer who has worked with the Pet Shop Boys, Tony Caso, the Flirts,
Lisa Lisa and the Cult Jam, Divine, Roni Griffith, Malibu,
Girly, Waterfront Home, Ericand lots more. When I was
putting out records, I was putting out hundreds of
different releases every year. I grew up during the golden
days of punk crowds waiting in line at a club or a bar to
hear the Sex Pistols or the New York Dolls. But kids today
are the stars themselves. The audience has become their own
star. That's what went wrong with music in the past five or
six years. Not that there isn't some good, creative music
out there. Maybe I'm just getting older, but I still prefer
the Jacques Fred Petrus and Kano records. I listen to MC
Hammer, it sounds good, but it just doesnt move me.
Personally, I liked W.I.T. better the first
time when they were called the Flirts.
And, oh, by the way, Im not gay. Not me. No Way. I love ladies. Just
because I worked with Divine doesnt make me gay.
Erics Whos Your Boyfriend?, contrary to the opinion of
the dance music connosieur, is not the gayest song
ever.its not even as gay as Carl Beans I Was Born This
Way or Man 2 Mans Male Stripper. Man Parrish, now
theres one gay mother-fucker. (Hes hung like a horse, too...trust me!! Wait a second, I mean...that's what I heard.) I may have spent most of my days in gay clubs, worked with a lot of gay artists, and spent way too much time with the Pet Shop Boys, but I am 100% heterosexual seriously. In fact, I once pulled out of buying an apartment after discovering that the previous owner was gay. And I have many times tried, out of the goodness of my heart, to convert gay artists that I worked with, and bring them around to the light. Some
