i keep good company, that's why life is so good- seriously tho, i'm currently working at UNITE HERE! and was a fellow last year at Boston area Youth Organizing Project, the Juvenile Justice clinic at my law school, last summer was at San Francisco Public Defender, before then Greater Boston Legal Services - Asian Outreach Unit, Neighborhood Defender Service of Harlem, Travidia (fired for trying to start union), Chinese Information & Services Center (Seattle), Gates Millenium Scholarship Foundation - API Division, Organization of Chinese Americans national office in D.C. - was involved on volunteer basis with different groups- aarw.org, aamovement.net, and the api movement building discussions in boston. at some point I want to be a full-time organizer

Mainly avoiding cults like Friendster; also anything that has to do with social justice/social change, its theory and practice esp. direct action organizing, building long term campaigns/orgs., + relationships btw individuals/movements and mvmts/society- also art, music, film, wandering, travelling, drinking, smoking, eating, sleeping, and cooking lots of different food

off the top of my head- the black panthers speak, movement and moment, pedagogy of the oppressed, racial formation... (omi and winant), legacy to liberation, wage labour and capital, ricepaper airplane, land of smiles, lots of others- also theses, essays, books that my friends write or forward to me- i don't read much fiction anymore, but i used to

zhang yimou, chen kaige, wong kar-wai, baumbach, spike lee etc

from the top of my head- dead prez, deltron, talib, mos, boards of canada (sometimes), the specials, radiohead, uncle tupelo, beautiful south, aceyalone, manu chao, bambu, diskarte namin, at the drive-in (sometimes), stereolab, belle & sebastian, neutral milk hotel, prophets of rage, & innumerable others

i go for long periods watching almost no tv, then binge watch random ish
