      • Who doesn't love Nick? The man I've
known since fourth grade has always
loved to be miserable. Like when
someone broke his nose on the school
bus and then yelled at him the next day
for letting his mom find out ("Uh, yeah,
mom, all the blood all over my clothes
and still draining from my nose?
Papercut.") But he also loves to be
happy (gleefully winning 3 of the 4 $25
pull tabs at the now-defunct St. Francis
medical fair). So, strangely, things are
always good for him. Nick never
ceases to amaze me. I've always been
jealous of his vocabulary and his writing
ability. My life would be a lot easier if I
had his talent. And he always picks the
        perfect Christmas present, even though
I usually forget to send one to him. The
length of our friendship (20 years and
counting) speaks to how great a person
he is: through all the trials of
        adolescence and adulthoood, Nick has
always been right there by my side. I
hope to catch a movie with him. And
then hear how much he hate

funniest things I have ever heard in my
life, I realize that many of them were
said by Nick. And I only get to share
his company about once or twice a
year. Couple that with being geniunely
kind and the undisputed king of pop
(culture) and there's just not enough
good things to say about him.

      • Nick's full name is Nathanial, which is really
cool, since an anagram for Nathanial is "Anal
Than I," which would make a great name for
        an obsessive-compulsive heavy metal band.

      • Nick excels at kick-assery and the
assorted arts of cool. He also knows
the inside, outside and middle scoop
        of everything important. Is there
anyone who doesn't like this kid?
        Best . . . Boss . . . Ever!

      • Nick allowed me to sit on my ass for a
couple years and collect money. For
that, I'm eternally grateful. He also
took on the forces of evil on my behalf
and won. Not too shabby for a Pirates
fan. At least he's not stuck with
        Randall Simon anymore.

      • Nick is a pimp. A quiet, brooding
pimp, but a pimp nonetheless. Nick's
taste in pop culture in general is A+.
Nick doesn't look down on me because i
think Bubba Sparxx isn't terrible. I
worked with Nick for awhile, or as he
put it "every job over the last 5
years, (you)i have been just around the
corner." Plus Nick gives me free
stuff, and like- that is cool. Plus he
gives me stuff before it comes out and
i am pretty sure that he would get
kicked out of the illuminati if anyone
found out. Nick and I bonded, braving
the most trying experience since I last
        saw Arachnophobia.

Also, you can tell whenever Nick gets a
        haircut.

      • At some point, people start not only
making a mental list of people to kill,
but also a list of people who are
        unquestionably great. Like, we form
our own private jugment day in our
minds as if by anticipating and
rationalizing it, we might not be so
afraid. But anyway, Nick The Slick
would definitely be at the top of my
list. Impeccable taste (just look at
how hip his solitary "favorite book"
        is), unabashed charm, and a
        selflessness that makes me teary
and hopeful. We share a dislike for a
certain witch with a bad crimp who
looks 15 years older than she
probably is, who wears perfume that
makes you want to vomit on her
        shoulder-padded pants suit and high
heels that bring her to a toal of 3'9."
Nick balances the forces of the earth
and asks for no thanks in return.
Anyone with a spine who knows him
is thankfull he's around. For that
reason, Nick has made it fun to meet
        other people who've met Nick.
