The very first time I ever went out for
Ethiopian food, forever ago, was with
Marcelle and another friend. My relationship
of 5 years had broken up the night before.
When the food came I couldn't eat, went into
panic mode, and had to step outside in
breakdown. Marcelle took me in for the night
and actually made me feel better. She
deserves a medal for that. She also let me
have parties at her place because mine was
too small. She should probably get a medal
for that too. I never see her anymore but she
always has her own warm corner of my
heart.
Marcelle is a true inspiration! We
went to lunch in The Village many years
ago and she knew everyone and
everything! I want to be her! She also
knows the value of a good Jewish
Mother - the cornerstone of
life. "Goddess" doesn't even begin to
cover it.
Marcelle is responsible for the smartest
little princess I've ever seen. Ruby is
adorable, although I doubt that her
monologues would be a good as Marcelle's.
